Re-Sodding Project - Spring 2021
Переглядів 3253 роки тому
I decided to re-sod my back yard with Palasaides Zoysia... by myself (of course). As fast as this time-lapse video goes, it actually took about 6 hours to lay. I calculated that I did about 800 squats that day. I couldn't hardly walk for the next few days afterward. Thanks to my son, Madison, son-in-law, Nathan, and my business partner, Charlie and his four kids for the help! I should also ment...

Playhouse - Swing Build / Timelapse Video

I built this playhouse - swing set in July 2020 for my grandkids in Virginia. The most challenging part? Getting lumber in the middle of a pandemic when everyone else was also doing projects and lumber became scarce... especially treated lumber. See ua-cam.com/video/ICZAzqzevUA/v-deo.html for tour of finished product.
Part 2 of Piano Conversion - I made a table out of the piano action!

After I did the piano conversion, what do I do with the left over action? What else? Make a table out of it!
Phoebe Playing Soccer
Переглядів 835 років тому
Every day I would come home from work where Phoebe would be ready and waiting to play her favorite game we called, "soccer". It was actually more like "keep-a-way" or "fetch", but she loved playing it. Notice how she somehow seems to observe out-of-bounds rules. Tragically, we recently lost Phoebe when she got out of her back yard and was hit by a car. Phoebe was a most beloved pet.

Workshop Inside
Переглядів 4,4 тис.7 років тому
Here is a tour of the inside of my workshop just after completion (ua-cam.com/video/kBYoD6lLT_w/v-deo.html) and before I started junking it up with all my crap. When its clean it still looks rather nice, but right now, since I just got finished building kitchen cabinets, it looks like a wreck! Nonetheless, it is serving the purpose and allowing me to do just about anything I need to do. The lof...

Super👍
Didn't see if you sealed any of your cuts. No joist tape either 🤔
Sensacional!
Video🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
u r an inspiration, sir !
I heard a Keith Green lick in there.
I have never seen the logic in these pergolas they really should have a roof so you can sit out in the rain and enjoy all weathers but thats just me
You have 1x4" on he roof?
Looks great, well done
How did you get to print casio on the Grand Piano?
Wow
Definitely not in a climate where they experience thaw/frost heaves.
Any type of tie down method for the posts?
Sweet!
Estragou os dois instrumentos. Não faça mais isso. 😢😢😢
looks awesome
Doesnt look like that casio is sold as a portable keyboard but only comes with a full frame and case. Thats a lot of extra money spent on something you dont need! Just curious why you didnt just go with any number of portable ones which would have saved you money? Ive been contemplating a similar project but going with a kawai portable piano.
А зачем там камни? Для баланса вселенной?
Such a great video and amazing job! One thing, you must have a tough butt to use that wooden stool without a pad. Most would get hemorrhoids from that sort of seat if used more than maybe an hour or two a week.
Hope it sounds much better than what it did in the recording of this video... else I'd be pretty pissed...
❤
What size is your deck? It looks amazing!
Hi, would you be so kind to tell me if that was 8x8x10 you used, and for the deck frame, was that 2x8x10 ? Did you used bolts to secure the 8x8 to the frame or what did you used for fasteners ? Thanks a lot!
How’d you get the power to the deck?
Did a great job. To bad you didn't do a voice over explaining the steps, rather than the annoying music.
A man of taste ! Very nice transformation.
You didnt need to put the post in cement? You just screwed them to the floor frame?
Excellent, this invention If it's been outdoors for how many years?
Its not secured to the ground though. No plates or concrete. The hulk could smash that
Good job. Loved the video.👍
What kind of wood are you using? Is it pressure treated?
Was this in New Orleans?
This is beautiful! I have a genuine question as I know nothing about construction: could you paint everything before assembling it? I thought that might be easier and save time, but I've never done something like this before. Thanks in advance to whoever answers!
Nice job Really good idea
Estimated cost for this project please
Could anyone tell me the width of the keyboard of the Casio px 870, just the keys not the body of the piano width?
Great project! Very cool work and very nice finished product.
Is it possible to build something like this on top of an existing floating deck?
funtastic!
great video. I really liked the format of your workshop. can you share the drawings and frame plan?
Fantastic work, looks amazing.
Amaizing Engineer. Thankyu Up This one
I know it has been a few years, but I am sorry for your loss. We love our pups.
Very impressed and wish I had found this earlier. You are clearly someone with an experimental mindset with an eye for quality work and detail! I was wondering if you or anyone else knew of a fully weighted digital keyboard that was 2-1/2" high or less after disassembly of the case? I have been hoping to do something similar with a baby grand that didn't require cutting out the recess for the keyboard in the bed of the piano as you did. I can guarantee my craftsmanship would not be anywhere near the level of yours.
Cool way to display the action and keys from the conversion, vs throwing them away. Nice indeed. Admitted, I was sad to see the baby grand piano dissasembled. But you did a stellar job keeping it "original" looking from the outside. If it weren't for the CASIO stickers, Im not sure anyone would notice. I would've loved to have seen a Kawai digital piano go in the grand. Their sound is incredible.
Great job. Can you say how many hours it took?
Stunning ,, from Manchester UK
This is much better than the junky electronic grands they make. Of course you won't get the sound and feel of a real baby Grand but this cabinet is far better than any on the market. The best electric piano I ever heard. 73
Hi! Great job with the piano conversion. I would like to send you a couple pics of my baby grand. I wonder if you think it could work as a conversion project or not. It’s got Queen Ann legs. The underside supports that I would need to cut out like you did have me a little concerned. Is it absolutely necessary to cut out a section of the piano below the digital keyboard so the keyboard has room when installed?
Noice!! What is the decking board size?
